Hi, I'm Michelle. I'm an independent travel advisor based in Durbanville, Cape Town, and I plan holidays for people across South Africa and around the world.

My working life has always been about looking after people, first in property and telecoms, and then in travel. The part I enjoy most has never changed. It is the moment a client tells me the trip was exactly what they needed. A holiday is often the thing people save for all year, so I take it seriously, and I want the planning to feel as good as the trip itself.

The way I work is simple. I start by listening. Before I look at a single hotel, I want to know who is travelling, what a good holiday looks like to you, and what you would rather avoid. Then I put together options that suit you, explain why I chose them, and take care of the details so you are not left sorting them out alone. That means honest advice, even when a simpler or cheaper option is the better fit, and clear quotes that show exactly what is included. It also means paying attention to the small things, like room types, transfer times and flight connections, because those are usually what make or break a trip.

Cruises, island escapes and guided tours are what I book most, but I plan the whole world, for leisure and for business travel. Flights, hotels, transfers, tours, rail and excursions can all be arranged together, so you end up with one itinerary that makes sense instead of a handful of bookings that do not talk to each other. And if you already have a quote from somewhere else, send it to me. I am happy to look it over and see whether I can match it or find you something better.

I live in the Northern Suburbs with my family, so I know how precious time away is when life is full. I also love Mauritius and Cruising , and you will probably read about it here more than once.

On this blog I share destination guides, travel tips and a look at what my work is really like. If you are thinking about a trip, big or small, send me a message through the contact page. I would love to hear what you have in mind.
